Services
Start with VA psychiatric records review.
Psychiatric and mental-health records review is Ingleside Health's primary launch focus. It is an independent physician records-review service operated by Betula Mental Health PLLC. When clinically supportable, the physician may prepare a written medical opinion. It is not a treatment or claims-representation service.
Selected other medical conditions may be accepted only after the physician confirms that the matter fits her licensure, training, experience, and professional competence. A category listed during intake is a screening option, not an offer or promise that Ingleside will accept the matter.
Standard launch service
VA psychiatric records review
Review of submitted VA, service, and medical records, followed by a review summary and final clinician review. A signed opinion is prepared when the physician can support it.
Standard service total: $1,500, including the $500 paid upfront to begin the physician records review and a $1,000 remaining balance only if an opinion is supportable and the client proceeds.
The $500 initial physician records-review fee is non-refundable if you cancel after Dr. Craig begins substantive physician review, even if the review is not yet complete. Administrative screening, file receipt, scheduling, and payment alone do not count as substantive physician review. If you cancel before that review begins, or Ingleside declines or cannot provide the agreed initial review, we refund that fee. A completed review that does not support the requested opinion is still a performed review and does not qualify for a refund on that basis. If an opinion is clinically supportable and you choose to proceed, the remaining $1,000 is due before final work is completed. Refunds required by law remain available. These terms apply to new engagements and do not replace an existing matter's signed fee terms.
The standard service begins with records review. A clinical interview, DBQ, addendum, rebuttal, or testimony is not included unless separately agreed in writing. Ingleside does not prepare, present, prosecute, or file a VA benefits claim.
Services are currently available only to adults age 18 or older who are physically located in Illinois or Texas when professional services are provided. Continuing to intake or submitting information does not mean that a matter has been accepted. We confirm location, eligibility, conflicts, and scope before substantive professional work begins.
What you receive
A nexus letter written from your records.
The finished letter identifies the records reviewed, explains the medical reasoning, addresses the facts of your claim, and states the physician's opinion in language the VA recognizes. You receive a signed PDF for your own submission or for your VSO, claims agent, or attorney.

A physician's reasoning
The physician applies medical judgment to the record and relevant literature. The letter explains the connection. It does not merely repeat a conclusion.

A letter you can use
When the evidence supports an opinion, you receive a draft for factual review and then a physician-signed final letter for your VA disability claim.
What makes a strong VA nexus letter
The opinion has to connect the evidence.
A useful nexus letter gives a VA reviewer a medical path from the facts in your file to the physician's conclusion. For PTSD, mental health, and other conditions, that usually means four things.
A documented diagnosis
The letter identifies the current condition being addressed. A nexus opinion cannot substitute for medical evidence of a diagnosis.
The relevant service or secondary connection
The physician identifies the event, exposure, injury, illness, or already service-connected condition that is medically relevant to the opinion.
Reasoning tied to your file
The opinion explains how your timeline, treatment, symptoms, testing, and competing risk factors fit the medical literature. It is not a general statement about veterans.
A clear medical conclusion
When supportable, the final letter uses the applicable probability language, includes the physician's credentials, and is signed for submission with your claim.
For PTSD and personal-trauma claims, relevant evidence can also include behavioral markers, lay statements, counseling records, civilian medical records, police reports, and other contemporaneous evidence. When a medical opinion may help
The medical question is different in every VA claim.
Ingleside Health starts with PTSD, mental-health, and selected medical questions. The physician's job is to address the specific medical issue in your file. Ingleside does not prepare or argue the rest of the claim.
Direct service connection
Your current diagnosis may be connected to an injury, illness, exposure, or traumatic event that occurred during military service.
Secondary service connection
A diagnosed condition may be caused or aggravated by a disability that VA has already found to be service connected.
A denied or supplemental claim
Your VA decision letter or prior C&P opinion may identify a medical connection that was missing, unclear, or decided against you.
PTSD and personal trauma
The medical opinion may need to explain symptoms, treatment history, behavioral markers, and how the evidence fits the reported in-service stressor.
Use the free system first
A private opinion should fill a real medical-evidence gap.
VFW, DAV, and VA all warn veterans not to pay private companies for claim filing or promises about a rating. Accredited VSO assistance and VA-ordered claim exams are available without a fee. Ingleside Health provides a separate physician service when an independent medical review is actually needed.
